Attic oinochoe with a battle scene inspired by the Iliad. Circa 730 BC. The belly of the vase depicts siamese twins who have been identified as the Moliones and Aktoriones, the young brothers from Elis who fought against Nestor. Their myth inspired Geomteric art and was connected to the aristocratic genos of Athens in the 8th century BC. Agora Museum, Athens P 4885. Hellenic Ministry of Culture/Archaeological Receipts Fund.
